Today was a great mild autumn afternoon in Melbourne…and this beautiful church park is renown for having movies being filmed here, as it is such a gemstone in this great city.

On my way to work, I’m constantly admiring this park, as I think it would be a perfect place for a lunchtime picnic with co-workers. All summer long I wanted to bring my bohemian blanket to work and get the ladies to join me outside for picnic but never got a chance.

I guess that’s what happens when you get caught up with work, you sometimes forget about your personal time at lunch.

I woke up this morning so excited to open the curtains to see what the weather was going to be like, as I really wanted to wear this lace dress that was beautifully made by my mother. I’ve only wore it once before and I could not wait to wear it again but with the change in wet weather lately I wasn’t sure when I was going to be able to next. I was especially excited as I knew today I was going to do this shoot with my friend Samantha.

Our 45-minute lunch break was fulfilled with both of our new passions as we actually stopped thinking about work and did something we loved. Until I got hungry and had to go eat.

I think it’s important to take your breaks at work and escape the office for a bit. Even if it’s just going out for a walk, before or after you have eaten. We spend so much of our lives at work and life isn’t about work its about yourself.

So my message today is to take care of yourself even if it’s just for 45 mins at lunchtime, as you never know what fulfillment you might get!

P.s. my boss has named this dress “The Curtain”.
