LOCATION: LADY ELLIOT ISLAND | GREAT BARRIER REEF

Finally had a chance to settle back into my home in Melbourne after the big “Road Trip” up the East Coast of Australia.  It’s interesting when it’s time for holiday or you happen to be escaping on an adventure your mind suddenly lets goes or relaxes and all of those crazy day to day thoughts all of a sudden vanish, until that dreaded final day of holidays. Now that I’m back to normality I began going through all these images from Lady Elliot Island.  And I must admit I am reminiscing the days where I was walking along the coral white beach trying to catch every sunset I could whilst being there, though I never ended up seeing the sunset due to constant cloud cover in the west which was a real shame. I did manage to wake up one morning and witness this beautiful sunrise by chance as I was having a little trouble sleeping and thought I’d go for a quick walk and freshen up. I was 2 steps out of our room when I actually opened my eyes to see this beautiful sunrise and knew instantly that this was my moment to capture the birth of a beautiful new day.

I have decided that taking HDR shots of landscape are my favourite way to photograph scenes as they had so much colour and texture to image. If you’ve been following me you know just how much I love everything to do with colour and life. These are my favourite photos I took on the island but don’t worry there are more photos to come from LEI.

Thanks for reading and I believe haven’t officially I wished everyone a happy new year yet.  So…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Impressed with your pictures. Amazing and enjoyable. You might want to turn professional one day or print a book or have a gallery show. Tita Lulu
