The Road Trip has commenced with the arrival of my sister Maggie landing in Melbourne this morning from Vietnam.
Unfortunately we only had a couple hours in Melbourne to visit with family and friends and a quick tour around the city before jumping in the car for an 8+ hour drive to Eden.
First stop Maggie to see the famous Hosier Lane with all the graffiti art as it is one of my favourite places in the city. Every time I visit, there is different art showcased and it just keeps getting better and better. I feel so inspired with all the colour and creativity!
According to many Australian’s who I have spoken with the drive is suppose to be very long and full of traffic. All three of us found it quiet enjoyable as the sensory was unbelievable with rolling hills and hardly little traffic. We had small detour through the mountains as we missed one turn off and ended up having to back track on a road that was under construction in pitch black. The heavens opened up on us a few unexpected down pours which caused the road to steam heavily and created an erie look with the car headlights and the occasional flashes of lighting.
We made it to Eden in good time just after 10pm and check in and went to bed as we were all exhausted.
